K: I am familiar with the majority of the content on why it is important to read daily. Reading conferences is something that I have learned is so beneficial over the years because you truly get to know a child and their thinking.

W: I learned that it is okay that everyone’s independent reading program that they create for their own classroom looks different. There is no cookie cutter format for an reading program.

L: Carving out and sticking to the time required for it to be beneficial is something I need to work on more in the classroom.

S: I will share this on my blog and information in my own classroom or library.
